THE SERVICE COURSE / Bikes of Oslo visual branding
To mark the second anniversary of their Oslo branch in November 2021, The Service Course held a special celebration of the city’s bike culture. Held within the vast space of Det Gemle Bibioteket (The Old Library), proud locals showed off their collection of beautiful custom bikes, sharing stories of their conception with punters between swigs of cold beer and scoops of spicy and delicious Norwegian BBQ.
The event required a visual identity, which SlashBackslash designed in collaboration with the team. Set in blue and white, and riffing on some of the more outlandish cycle jersey designs, the Bikes of Oslo branding adorned screens and promo material at the event space, as well as featuring across the limited edition tees worn by staff and available to purchase after the event.
The local tradition of hitting the gravel tracks around Oslo and then returning for beer and pizza was duly honoured on the reverse side of the tees with ‘Gravel & Pizza’ emblazoned across the back.
“Bikes of Oslo is our dream off-bike event concept, showcasing an eclectic mix of world-class custom bikes in a spectacular venue, with food, drinks, music and most importantly a (very big and beautiful) room full of passionate cyclists to share it all with.”
